Abstract

DIVERSITY AQUATIC HETEROPTERA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO BELOSTOMA (HETEROPTERA BELOSTOMIDAE). This chapter deals with, Belostomatids (Insecta : Heteroptera), a group of an important insects in freshwater environments, of argentinian northeast. Structural characteristics, systematic possition, biological and ecological significance as well as the relationships with another organisms are summarized. A key for the identification of species groups of Belostoma registrated in Argentina is presented.
